Tesla Shanghai Plant has implemented a two shift working system

Signs of recovery have been seen in the Tesla Shanghai Plant as it adopts a two shift working system to help boost production process.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in China, the Tesla Shanghai Plant cut down on its production to curb the possible spread of the virus. With cases reducing but the lockdown still in place, the manufacturing plant began production on a one-shift basis. But new reports have it that production will return to normal as the plant now adopts a two shift working system.

This move by the manufacturing plant has full government backing. The production process will still make use of the closed-loop process while keeping workers safe to help prevent infection. With this new two-shift approach to the production process, the factory is back in gear. Although this is not as effective as it can be without the restrictions, it is an improvement.

From the available information, we can deduce that the logistics of the manufacturing plant are almost back to normal. Recovering the logistics takes a lot, and in the meantime, the Tesla Shanghai Plant is not yet there. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology noted that over 26,000 have rolled out of the Tesla plant ever since resumption.

There is a lot of effort going into recovering the full process of automobile production in the region. With this two shift working system, things may come back to normal. The Shanghai plant needs to see a notable recovery since it is Tesla’s second plant away from its home base. We hope that things return to normal and workers will be able to resume on a full scale to help boost the production process.
