Tesla recalled nearly 3.77 million vehicles in 19 separate instances in the U.S. this year

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, by far the largest number of recalls in the U.S. this year is Ford, which has conducted 63 recalls involving 8.08 million vehicles, more than twice as many as Tesla, both in terms of the number of recalls and the number of vehicles recalled.

In terms of the number of recalls, Tesla is 8th most in the US this year, the other 6 before them are Volkswagen, Daimler Trucks, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, General Motors and Hyundai, and the other two in the top 10 are BMW and Navistar.
