Tesla’s official website shows that it will provide 6 months of free overcharging service for all Model 3 and Model Y purchased and picked up before December 31, 2023, only for North America. But benefits may be revoked if “overcharged.”
It is noticed that Tesla regularly provides additional discounts or incentive programs to increase sales. For example, in December last year, Tesla announced a discount of up to $7,500 for Model 3/Y stock cars, and provided additional discounts for those in stock within the specified time. Users who take delivery are offered up to 10,000 miles of Supercharging credits.
Tesla had previously reported third-quarter deliveries slightly below Wall Street expectations but still maintained its sales target of 1.8 million vehicles. That means Tesla would need to deliver nearly 500,000 vehicles this quarter to hit that target, surpassing the 466,140 vehicles it delivered in the second quarter.
Tesla’s official website currently shows that the federal electric vehicle tax credit for some models may be reduced in 2024, and says that buyers should take delivery before the end of this year to ensure the full $7,500 credit.
