Tesla recently offered a new paint option for the Model S and Model X models in the global market — Ultra Red, which is a deeper, more textured red than Chinese Red. The paint option costs RMB 25,000 in China and $3,000 in the U.S. (currently about RMB 20,670)
According to overseas users, the Model S and Model X with flame-red paint have arrived at some delivery centers and showrooms in the United States, signaling that mass deliveries will begin soon.
For those who have ordered the Chinese Red paint, Tesla is also offering a free replacement for the Flame Red paint.
In addition to Flame Red, Tesla has two other red paint colors. Among them, Model 3 in the global market is China Red; while Model Y in the European market is Dark Cherry Red (Dark Cherry Red), this paint uses Tesla’s latest paint technology, the number of paint layers up to 13, and will show different effects depending on the line of sight and light changes, other markets are China Red paint; Model S, Model Model S, Model X in the global market is unified use of the flame red paint.
