According to the Tampa Bay Times report, Tesla DASH ride service began operating on October 12th. Starting October 13, the DASH Tesla ride-sharing service will be open Monday through Saturday.
Downtown Tampa is known to have 20 neighbourhoods with a radius of 1.862 square miles. The dedicated Model Y can take passengers to 20 different hubs in the downtown area, with four passengers per vehicle. Customers can reserve a ride in the bright yellow Tesla Model Y through the “DASH Tampa” app, which costs $2 per ride (currently around RMB 15).
According to the Downtown Tampa Partnership, a nonprofit that manages the downtown area through an agreement with the city of Tampa, the Tesla Model Y will be driven by “chauffeur ambassadors” who have been trained as tour guides. Passengers can also request a wheelchair-accessible van through the app.
