Tesla crashes into the barricade, almost hitting a person, Driver was on assisted driving

Assisted driving can go a long way to alleviating the fatigue of long-distance driving, but assisted driving is not automatic after all and still requires the driver to keep an eye on what’s ahead. Recently, a Tesla turned on Assisted Driving on the highway and ended up crashing into a trail of barrier tubes and almost hitting a construction worker.

According to 1818 Golden Eye, on the morning of September 18, a section of the Sutai Expressway near the Taizhou street service area was closed for construction, when suddenly, a Tesla came straight over and did not slow down, hitting a dozen isolation cylinders one after another, fortunately, a construction worker dodged.

After discovering the accident, the owner hurriedly changed lanes to the right and in his haste also used the accelerator as a brake, speeding up the car. Thankfully, no one was injured in the accident.

The owner claimed that the Tesla recognized the roadblock at the time but did not reduce speed.
