According to Bloomberg reports, Tesla Inc. is now selling Model Y cars produced in its Shanghai factory in South Korea and has significantly reduced the price to get more subsidies.
Tesla Korea’s official website inquired that the Model Y model rear-wheel drive version of the price of 56,990,000 won (currently about RMB 322,000), is expected to be delivered from August 2023 to September (depending on the situation). model Y dual motor all-wheel drive long-range version and high-performance version of the Tesla Korea official website is not yet available for sale but is expected to be listed on the market for the year 2024.
With government subsidies, the Model Y rear-wheel drive version is reportedly priced down to around $37,000 (currently around RMB 265,000) in Seoul, with prices as low as $30,000 (currently around RMB 215,000) in some cities that offer additional incentives for electric cars.
It’s worth noting that the Tesla Model Y rear-wheel-drive version sold in South Korea is equipped with the same features as the domestic model, with the exception of a different range standard.
According to Tesla Korea’s website, the Model Y rear-wheel-drive version has a range of 350 kilometres, and the actual driving range “may vary depending on external factors, such as speed, weather conditions, and changes in altitude”. The domestic model is based on the CLTC standard, which gives the Model Y rear-wheel drive version a range of 545 kilometres.
