Tesla has recently launched a Cybertruck-inspired Pilsner-style Bier, GigaBier, in the European market, the company’s second drink after Tesla Tequila.
Tesla describes on its official website that “Tesla GigaBier retains both the Cybertruck shape and design and the pure German brewing method of 500 years. Brewed in Berlin, this limited edition pale ale features our exclusively bred Cybertruck hops with aromas of citrus, bergamot and sweet fruits. Each GigaBier comes in a seamless glossy black sleeve with a glow-in-the-dark Giga watermark. Cheers!”
Tesla first revealed the GigaBier at a Giga Fest event at its Berlin Superplant in late 2021. CEO Elon Musk told fans at the time that Tesla would be working on some interesting projects at this new factory to make it stand out. “We’re going to build a train station in the factory. And then we’re going to paint graffiti murals all over the inside and outside of the factory. I think it’s going to be cool, we already have some of those, and we’re even going to have a kind of beir,” he said.
GigaBier is Tesla’s second foray into beverages after the company launched Tesla Tequila, which sold out quickly when it became available. Tesla sold two batches of aged tequila, both of which were snapped up within minutes. There were even people reselling the tequila on sites like eBay for more than $1,000.
Tesla filed trademarks for “Giga bier” and “GigaBier” just days after the Giga Fest event.
For now, GigaBier is only available in Europe, so Tesla fans in other regions will not be able to try the beer for now. European consumers can purchase the German-made three-bottle beer for 89 euros (currently about RMB 667).
Tesla’s GigaBier contains 5% alcohol and has a capacity of 330 millilitres per can, equivalent to a little more than 11 ounces.
Tesla says GigaBier’s ingredients include water, barley malt, Sable hops and yeast.
