The Phantom is a high-end sub-brand of Transin Tecno and is set to launch its first folding screen phone, dubbed the Tecno Phantom V Fold, at MWC 2023 on February 28, according to GizChina.
The Phantom V Fold will have a “reverse hinge structure”, which will improve the structural stability of the phone. This is further improved by the use of aerospace-grade materials that are both strong and lightweight.
The leaked images show a round camera module with three lenses vaguely on it, with two more cameras expected on the front. The focal lengths of these lenses and the sensors used are still unknown.
Tecno has officially confirmed that the Phantom V Fold will be powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chip, which is an enhanced version of the Dimensity 9000 (+5% CPU and +10% GPU).
The real Tecno Phantom V Fold, previously revealed, is expected to come with 12GB+256GB of storage, a 50MP rear-facing main camera, run Android 13, and side fingerprint recognition, with a curved external screen.
