TCL has released a new smartphone called Ion X with a 3000mAh removable battery in the U.S. market.
The machine is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor, 3GB of memory and 32GB of internal storage, and supports up to 512GB of microSD card expansion storage. The MediaTek Helio G25 is manufactured using TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process and is equipped with 8 ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores with a clock frequency of 2.0GHz and a 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 for graphics.
The machine is equipped with a 6-inch 720p display, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera that supports 1080p 30fps shooting.
The machine has a retro 3000mAh removable battery, which means that a few extra batteries can have a few days of battery life. In addition, the phone does not support 5G, further reducing power consumption. The TCL Ion X also features Bluetooth 5.1, a USB-C port for charging and data, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The TCL Ion X will be sold by the US telecom operator Metro at a price of US$119 (currently about 807 CNY).
