TCL CSOT announced today that its LTPO VR technology has made a breakthrough. TCL CSOT stated that it has developed a more advanced LTPO-VR technology based on LTPO technology, which can maintain industry-leading levels in terms of high penetration rate, high refresh rate, narrow frame, and low power consumption.
According to reports, LTPO VR technology can reach 1512PPI, support 120Hz refresh rate, and 4ms response time.
According to officials, LTPO technology is driven by the combination of LTPS and oxide TFT technologies. Not only has the advantages of LTPS high mobility, high resolution, and high response speed, but also has the advantages of IGZO’s low leakage current, low refresh rate, high aperture rate, and high brightness, which can reduce product quality without affecting the quality of VR equipment. Power consumption further meets the requirements of VR products for image quality experience. In the long run, LTPO technology will be the trend of energy saving and consumption reduction in electronic products, and has broad application prospects.
TCL CSOT LTPO VR technology brief introduction:
High penetration rate:
Compared with the currently used LTPS VR backplane, the penetration rate of LTPO VR is more than 10% higher than that of LTPS VR, which can reduce the power consumption of the screen by more than 10%.
high-definition:
The Ioff of IGZO is two orders of magnitude lower than that of traditional LTPS, which can effectively reduce power consumption; while LTPO using IGZO technology can also reduce the Crosstalk phenomenon to less than 2%, which can significantly improve the clarity and quality of images.
High Response Speed:
Due to the high penetration rate of LTPO VR, the response speed can be improved by reducing the Cellgap, making it less than 4 milliseconds. With a high refresh rate, it can greatly improve the problem of motion blur and dizziness, and effectively enhance the sense of immersion in use.
