Tamron’s second-generation large-aperture telephoto zoom lens 70-180mm F2.8 G2 was officially launched today, priced at 9200 RMB, and is now available for pre-sale on e-commerce platforms.
In terms of parameters, this lens uses 20 lenses in 15 groups, with F22~F2.8 aperture (9 aperture blades), ɸ67mm filter (maximum diameter 83mm), supports 70-180mm focal length and 34°21′-13° 42′ viewing angle, 156.5mm long, 855g weight.
In addition, this lens has a minimum shooting distance of 0.3m (wide-angle end)/0.85m (telephoto end), a maximum photography magnification of 1:2.6 (wide-angle end)/1:4.7 telephoto end), and uses Sony E-mount.
According to reports, this product is newly equipped with Tamron’s own VC optical anti-shake mechanism. The optical system has been redesigned based on the first-generation product A056. The minimum shooting distance at the wide-angle end has also been successfully shortened from 0.85m in the first generation to 0.3m.
Its AF drive system is equipped with a high-speed and high-precision linear motor focusing mechanism VXD. It is noticed that it can also use Tamron’s independently developed special software TAMRON Lens Utility and TAMRON Lens Utility Mobile to customize functional settings for various shooting styles such as photos and videos.
