Tamron Lens officially announced today that it will develop a Sony E-mount wide-angle zoom lens for 35mm full-frame mirrorless cameras – 17-50mm F / 4 Di III VXD (model A068) (hereinafter referred to as 17-50mm F4).
According to reports, the 17-50mm F4 is a wide-angle zoom lens with a constant F4 aperture that covers the common focal lengths of photos and videos and has a constant F4 aperture from an ultra-wide angle of 17mm to a standard focal length of 50mm.
The AF drive system adopts the linear motor focusing mechanism VXD; adopts the internal zoom structure, the length of the lens does not change when zooming, and it is easy to adjust when it is installed on a stabilizer and other equipment.
The minimum shooting distance of the lens is 0.19m at the wide-angle end, 0.30m at the telephoto end, and the filter diameter is φ67mm, which is consistent with the full-frame mirrorless lens series.
According to Tamron, the 17-50mm F4 lens product is under development and is planned to be launched in the fall of 2023.
