According to previous reports Tamron announced in August this year that it will develop a Sony E-mount wide-angle zoom lens suitable for 35mm full-frame mirrorless cameras – 17-50mm F/4 Di III VXD (model A068), planned for 2023 It will be launched in the autumn of next year.
Lens introduction:
The 17-50mm F4 is a wide-angle zoom lens with a constant F4 aperture that covers common focal lengths for photo and video shooting, from ultra-wide-angle 17mm to standard focal length 50mm. The image quality at all focal lengths is excellent, with clear depictions from the center to the periphery of the image. The AF drive system adopts VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), a linear motor focusing mechanism with excellent quietness and speed, to achieve high-speed and high-precision autofocus. The internal zoom structure keeps the length of the lens unchanged when zooming, and it is easy to level when mounted on a stabilizer or other equipment. Therefore, in addition to photos, it is also very suitable for video shooting. And the minimum shooting distance is 0.19m at the wide-angle end and 0.30m at the telephoto end. It has excellent close-up capabilities and can get close enough to the subject to capture unique works in different scenes.
