The newly announced “railroad passengers prohibited, restricted from carrying and consignment directory” will come into effect on July 1, passengers traveling by train should take the initiative to comply with the relevant provisions, according to the directory to determine the accompanying items, to avoid the impact of carrying prohibited goods travel.

IT House learned that in the past, rechargeable batteries do not belong to the railroad department’s provisions of dangerous goods or prohibited items, there is no restriction on the number and capacity to carry. However, from July 1, the rated energy of a single piece of rechargeable batteries carried on trains will not exceed 100Wh, and 100Wh is equivalent to a capacity of 27000mAh at 3.7V, so a general 20000mAh rechargeable battery can still be carried.

The Catalogue of Prohibited, Restricted and Consigned Items for Railway Passengers stipulates that these items are prohibited to be carried.

  1. Sharp objects: kitchen knives, fruit knives, scissors, art knives, carving knives, paper cutters and other everyday knives (blade length over 60 mm); professional knives such as scalpels, planing knives, milling knives; knives, spears, halberds and other instruments.
  2. blunt instruments: sticks, bats, pool cues, field hockey sticks, etc.
  3. tools agricultural tools: drills, chisels, cones, saws, axes, welding guns, nail guns, hammers, ice picks, rakes, shovels, stiffeners, hoes, agricultural forks, scythes, guillotines, etc.
  4. others: non-mechanical bow and arrow equipment such as recurve bows and compound bows, fire fighting guns, darts, slingshots, self-defense sprays of not more than 50 ml, etc.

  4. cold perm, hair dye, mousse, hairspray, insecticide, air freshener and other self-injected pressure containers, the volume of a single container does not exceed 150 ml, each limited to 1 piece, the total does not exceed 600 ml.
  5. no more than 2 small boxes of safety matches, no more than 2 ordinary lighters.
  6. clearly marked rechargeable batteries, lithium batteries, a single rated energy of not more than 100Wh, except for electric wheelchairs containing lithium batteries.
  7. Other items restricted from being carried or transported under the laws, administrative regulations and rules.
