The Xbox 360 emulator Xenia team recently released a brand new version that provides optimization for the running efficiency of several games. Now “Drakengarder” can run above 60fps. A gamer uploaded a video about the effect of Drakengarder running in the latest Xenia version.

The recorder ran the game and recorded it using Intel i9-12900K and NVIDIA GeForce 3080Ti.

We can see that the game can run above 137fps, in an open area of course. If you are in a town, the frame rate can be between 60-90fps. Don’t forget that this game is locked at 30fps on the console.

Former Xbox boss Peter Moore has revealed an interesting insight into how Microsoft encouraged a console war between the Xbox 360 and PS3, rather than creating a divide between gamers. In an interview with Front Office Sports, Moore explained that Xbox believed that console wars of that era were conducive to healthy competition.

In addition, he suggested that Xbox needed to be competitive at the time to recover from the infamous “red ring of death” of the original Xbox and Xbox 360

“We encouraged the console wars, not to create division, but to challenge each other,” Moore said, “and when I say each other, I mean Microsoft vs. Sony. If Microsoft hadn’t stuck it out after Xbox, after the Red Ring of Death, gaming would be a much worse place to be and we wouldn’t have the competition we have today.

“Giants like Microsoft and Sony who are investing billions of dollars are good for gaming, it’s that simple,” he added: “They have to be great or gamers will go to someone else.”

Moore later added, “If we didn’t fix the red dead ring the way we did, I’m pretty sure there wouldn’t be an Xbox today.”
