The Microsoft blog today announced the release of Windows 11 Preview Build 25375 for the Canary channel.

Reminder: Because releases to the Canary Channel are “fresh out of the box,” Microsoft will provide limited documentation for Canary Channel releases (e.g., no known issues), but will not publish blog posts for each release – only when new features are available in the release. As with previous Canary Channel releases, this release has some new features and documentation changes.
New features in Build 25375

Support for Microsoft Endpoint DLP on Windows on Arm (Arm64) versions

You can now extend Microsoft Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and actions to Endpoint running Windows on Arm (Arm64), which allows you to detect and protect sensitive data in the file portion of the digital ecosystem, enabling the introduction of policy control for scenarios such as when information workers use a Windows endpoint powered by an Arm chip to Windows endpoints powered by Arm chips to access sensitive files and attempt to perform export operations (e.g. copy to USB or copy to clipboard, notepad, etc.).

As part of the DLP policy definition, you can take advantage of the currently available conditions and actions, and no other settings are involved.

Make sure your ARM64 endpoints are loaded with Microsoft Endpoint DLP using any of the loading methods supported by Microsoft.

What is a Canary Channel

Canary channels are a gateway to preview platform changes that require a longer lead time before being released to customers, some examples of this include major changes to the Windows kernel, new APIs, etc. Microsoft releases to the Canary channel should not be considered to match any particular version of Windows, and some changes attempted in the Canary channel may never be released, while others may appear in future versions of Windows when they are ready.

Microsoft says that Canary releases may contain significant issues that may prevent proper use of your PC or even require you to reinstall Windows in rare cases. Microsoft will provide limited documentation for the Canary Channel, which will not receive daily Build releases, but Microsoft may release releases more frequently in the future, and users will see that The desktop watermark you see in the bottom right corner of your desktop is normal for these pre-releases.

Microsoft has confirmed that the latest Windows 11 Canary version has a special bug that prevents it from shutting down under certain circumstances.

According to Jen Gentleman, a member of Microsoft’s Windows engineering team, when users connect a USB wired Xbox joystick to Windows 11 Build 25314 and 25324 versions of the system, the system will hang on shutdown.

In addition, the bug also causes some computers to have a blue screen (green screen) of death while sleeping.

If you have the problem, you can try to disconnect the Xbox handle before shutting down the computer. In addition, we do not recommend using the Windows 11 Canary version on your main device, as it is a very early version and therefore inevitably has strange bugs.
