According to Volvo’s official announcement, the company has reached an agreement with Tesla, similar to other automakers, that will give Volvo’s electric car customers access to 12,000 Supercharger stations built by Tesla around the world. Starting in 2025, Volvo will install the NACS interface on its new production electric vehicles.

For Volvo EVs currently on the market or coming soon, including the XC40, C40 Recharge, EX30 and EX90, Volvo will offer a Tesla NACS to CCS adapter in mid-2024. Volvo also said users can find the location of Tesla Superchargers in its Volvo Cars app.

Major automakers such as Ford, GM and Rivian have also announced their support for Tesla’s NACS standard, which is replacing the currently widely adopted CCS standard, and Tesla’s NACS standard is expected to facilitate the growth and unification of the electric vehicle industry.

Power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T engine and matched with a 48V light hybrid system. The B3 version has a maximum power of 120kW and a maximum torque of 265N-m; the B4 version has a maximum power of 145kW and a peak torque of 300N-m. Both power models are matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The B3 version is a front-wheel drive, while the B4 version is a four-wheel drive.

Currently, the current Volvo XC40 has given more than 50,000 yuan of market terminal discount, low models are just 200,000 yuan, compared with the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Cadillac XT4 and other models, the cost advantage is obvious.
