]]> Transsion Holding subsidiary brushes up their battery-centric product line with a new device, the TECNO POVA Neo 2. Many things are going on with this device that makes it an eye-catcher in the entry-level smartphone market. One such area where this new device turns heads is with its design, which we can say is rather experimental.

Unlike the devices before it, this new entry takes on a different design trend, one that will appeal to the younger generation. The specifications will also appeal to Android users looking to purchase a device with a large battery capacity. Here is a quick rundown of the specifications, features, design, and pricing of this device.

The strongest selling point of the new POVA Neo device is its battery capacity. Packing a 7000mAh battery is a trend that TECNO has been able to maintain for the past few device entries into the POVA series. With this massive battery, users can go a day+ of heavy usage on a single charge.

For a 7000mAh battery, the charging capacity this device comes with is lacking. But, the manufacturer tries to make up for this with good storage and memory capacity. Also, there is a particular focus given to the gaming ability of this device with the addition of what the company calls a “Panther game engine.”

This is an appealing device when judging from the battery capacity, but TECNO could do a better job with the charging speed. For most people, the charging speed will not be a deterrent as other areas of this smartphone are well specced. With a focus on gaming, the new POVA device will make an impression on the entry-level smartphone market.

Currently, this device is on TECNO’s Russian website with the full specifications and features. But it is not yet available for purchase, as the website does not make mention the exact pricing of all storage variants. The available colours for this device are Uranolite Gray, Virtual Blue, and Orange Magma.

Once available for purchase, it will sit under the $200 price tag, just like its predecessor. Although it is currently on the company’s Russian site, this device will make its way to other regions. In the coming weeks, India and other African countries will get this device on the shelves of different retailers.
