As advertised by Ubisoft, “Skull & Bones” focuses on sailing and combat gameplay, with players only able to disembark and explore the land in a limited number of locations (outposts). Functionally, outposts are where players trade, cash in contracts, hire gangs, and meet people, while also driving the narrative through “investigations.

The investigation is a “way to tell a story through a series of steps” that can be initiated by discovering information in a bottle, digging up a lost journal, or simply by talking to characters in the world, which players can also use to search for clues to find treasure.

Skull & Bones” is a pirate-themed game produced by Ubisoft, originally developed as a spin-off of “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag”, officially announced in 2017 and originally planned for release in 2018, but has now undergone six rounds of delays.

The “Skull & Bones” has been available for pre-order on all major platforms for a long time, with a standard edition of $298 and a premium edition of $448 on the Ubisoft Store. The premium version includes the “Bloody Skull Song” collector’s pack, two missions, an electronic version of the soundtrack and more, and all pre-order players can get the “Lord of the Ocean” combo pack, which includes the infamous dress and the King’s Coronation fireworks.

The theme of the game is the battle of the sailing ships in a modern context, supporting PVP and PVE gameplay, in addition, the game may also have a sea monster battle mode.

In the game “Skull & Bones”, players will act as the captain of their own pirate ship. Accepting contracts, collecting resources, and sailing on the high seas while attacking merchant ships to plunder their possessions. Different choices will affect the player’s journey, pirate level-up will unlock new customizations for your ship.

Set in the second golden age of piracy, “Black Sails” also allows players to team up with up to two friends and supports open water PvP combat. Ubisoft promises that “Aqua Black Sails” will be released with strong multi-year support, including regular updates, new content, events, stories and challenges, all for free.
