According to Silicon Motion, the SM2508 has an ultra-low power consumption of ~3.5W, releasing the ultimate potential of PCIe Gen5 performance, and is suitable for a wider range of notebook computer applications.

According to previous reports, the speed of PCIe 5.0 SSDs currently on the market has reached 12.4 GB/s, and high-end models are basically equipped with small fans for active cooling.
