Sonyalpharumors had said not long ago that an updated version of Sigma’s current 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 lens is expected to be released early next year. Now, Asobinet has revealed the specifications of this lens.

Compared with the old SLR version, the closest focusing distance of Sigma 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS has been shortened from 60cm to 45cm, the maximum magnification ratio has been increased from 1:3.3 to 1:2.4, and the weight has been increased from 2.7kg Reduced to about 2.5kg.
