]]> Panasonic subsidiary Shiftall recently announced that its Bluetooth microphone Mutalk is open for pre-order and is expected to start shipping between November 2022 and December 2022. Mutalk is understood to be a quirky-looking Bluetooth microphone that allows users to chat privately in VR. A microphone inside the device captures and amplifies the wearer’s voice, while sound-absorbing material prevents nearby people from eavesdropping on the user’s conversation.

Voice is one of the biggest problems VR users face,” Shiftall said. “When you’re having fun in a VR space, it’s hard for your family to hear you. If you live in an apartment building and make a lot of noise, your neighbors might complain. And Mutalk is a Bluetooth microphone with a mute feature that prevents your voice from leaking out.”

First unveiled at CES 2022 in January, Mutalk captured the public’s attention with its unique design and distinctive features. The device can be used for more than 10 hours on a single charge using a standard USB Type-C cable and is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Android devices as well as VR headsets.
