]]> Samsung has brought astrophotography support to its older flagship devices, the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra. The feature is already available on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 series, allowing users to take photos of the night sky.

The latest version of the Expert RAW app (2.0.08.5) allows users to enable astrophotography mode, which must be running after the April 2023 update for the Galaxy S21 series phones to support this feature. The feature allows users to save images in both JPEG and RAW formats.

Expert RAW’s astrophotography mode relies on long exposure shots to capture high-quality images of stars, planets and constellations visible in the night sky; it also features built-in tools to help users point to various constellations in the sky, allows users to set timers for up to 10 minutes, and recommends mounting the device on a tripod to capture stable images.

Samsung has previously relaunched Galaxy Enhance-X, an artificial intelligence image editing application for the S23 series of phones; in addition, it has partnered with Microsoft Xbox to launch free dedicated gaming zones in London and New York City, among others.

]]> Samsung Galaxy S21 series for users in India has joined the One UI 5.0 Beta program. Samsung customers in India with a Galaxy S21, S21+ or S21 Ultra can now sign up for the One UI 5.0 beta program to have the opportunity to test the upcoming firmware.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program is available for unlocked Galaxy S21 series models and the pre-release firmware (once available) comes with a few warnings. First, the beta software will have some common buggy bugs. next, Galaxy S21 users in India should back up their data before applying to join the beta program to avoid losing anything of value. Finally, some apps and features may not work properly, Google Pay being one of them.

There are other improvements to Samsung DeX, the My Documents app — now with better search, digital health, Samsung keyboard and camera apps. The latter has some UI improvements that allow users to access different modes and use the zoom feature more easily.

Bixby Routines also has more actions and conditions. Samsung’s built-in IFTTT app is also smarter in One UI 5.0, suggesting new actions based on user habits.

Previously, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series entered One UI 5.0 beta testing in Korea and the UK.
