The PM9C1a is a new memory product based on Samsung’s 5nm high-end process and 7th-generation V-NAND technology. The PM9C1a is a new memory product based on Samsung’s 5 nanometer (nm) high-end process and 7th generation V-NAND technology that will significantly improve computing and gaming performance for PCs (personal computers) and notebooks.

According to the introduction, Samsung’s PM9C1a takes full advantage of the PCIe 4.0 interface and has 1.6 times faster sequential read speeds and 1.8 times faster sequential write speeds than its predecessor, the PM9B1, with tested values of up to 6000MB/s and 5600MB/s respectively, and random read/write speeds of up to 900K IOPS (input/output per second) and 1000K IOPS respectively. 1000K IOPS.

In terms of energy efficiency, the PM9C1a is 70% more efficient than its predecessor, which means the new SSD is able to handle the same number of tasks. The SSD consumes approximately 10 percent less power when the laptop is in standby mode.

The Samsung PM9C1a SSD will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity options in M.2 (22mm x 30mm, 22mm x 42mm, 22mm x 80mm).
