According to the information currently available, there are two models of Galaxy Tab Active 5 tablets, the Wi-Fi-Only version is SM-X300, and the 5G model is SM-X306B. Samsung has internally developed firmware for the above two models.

There are not many details about the tablet at present, but it is learned from the certification information that the Galaxy Tab Active 5 tablet will be equipped with an EB-BX306GBY battery, but the specific capacity and other specifications are not yet clear.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro offers a 10.1-inch TFT LCD panel with 1920*1200 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Under the hood, it is powered by a 6nm octa-core processor. The name of the chipset is still unknown, however, the Google Play Console listing of the device reveals that it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset.

The tablet offers a 13-megapixels single rear camera with an autofocus tech and f/1.9 aperture, along with an LED light. We have an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter. The device houses a 7,600mAh battery and it further comes with a “No battery” model where we have to use the device after connecting to an external power source as it doesn’t come with any in-built battery.

It will boot up on Android 12-based OneUI skin right out of the box. The brand has provided the Knox security and Samsung Dex, a feature that converts the table into the desktop interface, in the device. It further comes with an “Active Key”, which can be configured to launch any app from Settings.

Additional features include support for Dual-SIM, dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G, a dedicated microSD card slot and a USB Type-C port. The device measures a thickness of 10.2mm and weighs around 675gms.

These certifications give away a bit of the specification of this device (tablet). The available specification ranges from its processor to its memory capacity and Android version. We can start by noting that this rugged tablet will support 5G connectivity, as the Google Play support page calls it the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro “5G.”

Digging a bit deeper into the Google Play support page for this rugged tablet, our sources find the exact processor this device will use. The page sites the Qualcomm SM7325 as the processor onboard this rugged tablet. In more common terms, the Snapdragon 778G is the processor the listing is referring to by using the codename SM7325.

Additional information from the Google listing is the memory capacity of this device, which clocks at 4GB of RAM. For its storage capacity, we do not know what will be available with this tablet, but we can expect up to 128GB of onboard storage. The operating system of the coming Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is the Android 12L for large screens.

As for the launch date of this tablet, we don’t yet have information from any credible source. But, we can expect this tablet to launch in the coming months. Once available, we will publicize the pricing and full specification of this rugged tablet.
