Although there is still more than a year before the official release of the chip, relevant information about the chip has already flowed out. According to the news, the chip has a total of 8 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores.

The chip code-named “Hamoa” will have two models, SC8380X and SC8380XP. Judging from the model name, it should be the successor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 (model SC8280).

The chip is also reported to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 5G modem. This suggests that the chipmaker wants to combine a desktop CPU with an integrated 5G modem, though it’s unclear whether that modem will be included in the chip.

The chip code-named “Hamoa” will use the latest UFS 4.0 connection flash memory, which improves the transmission speed and can further optimize performance.

The Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 notebook powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 processor will be released on January 16, 2023. The laptop is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 computing platform, which offers up to 57% improvement in system-level performance and up to 85% improvement in multitasking performance compared to the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2.

It is also equipped with Qualcomm Adreno GPU, which has 60% higher performance than Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. This notebook also uses Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6900 system technology, which supports Wi-Fi 6E for fast and smooth connections.
