Sailfish OS 4.5 Struven Ketju features several improvements, especially in Android App support, addressing many of the issues raised by the community over the years, such as connectivity improvements, Bluetooth scanning improvements and audio control support, keyboard layout improvements, account login process improvements, better Android notification integration and browser compatibility.

Android AppSupport for Sailfish OS has now been upgraded to Android 11 and also supports microG services, allowing users to run some apps without signing up for a Google account.

Sailfish OS 4.5 also has battery aging protection, which users can set to extend the life of the battery and ensure the maximum time between charges over the life of the phone. Overall, the Sailfish OS 4.5 Struven Ketju release includes more than 700 bug fixes and dozens of upstream package updates.
