August 13, today, AMD officially announced that it will participate in Gamescom 2022 (2022 Cologne International Game Show), when we can expect to usher in the Zen 4 Raider 7000 series of consumer desktop processors and AM5 motherboards.

According to Wccftech, AMD will also host a product launch event later this month that will focus on the specifications of the Ryzen 7000 series Raphael AM5 processors, as well as reveal motherboard pricing from the motherboard manufacturer. While the event will take place on the 29th, consumers will have to wait two weeks before they can purchase.

Here is the timeline for the release of the product NDAs released by Wccftech.

Product Announcement — August 29th at 20:00 pm EST (8:00 am BST)

Press Release — September 13 at 9:00 am EST (9:00 pm BST on the same day)

Sales embargo lifted — September 15 at 9:00 am EST (9:00 pm BST on the same day)

According to information previously revealed, the first models of AMD’s Raider 7000 series are

R9 7950X: 16 cores, up to 5.7GHz, L2 + L3 cache 16+ 64MB.

R9 7900X: 12 cores, up to 5.6GHz, L2+L3 cache 12+ 64MB.

R7 7700X: 8 cores, up to 5.4GHz, L2+L3 cache 8+ 32MB.

R5 7600X: 6 cores, up to 5.3GHz, L2+L3 cache 6+ 32MB.

From the parameters, R9 7950X and R9 7900X should be 170W TDP, R7 7700X and R5 7600X is 105W.

On the motherboard side, the new AMD Socket AM5 platform features a new 1718-pin LGA design with support for processors up to 170W TDP, dual-channel DDR5 memory and the new SVI3 power infrastructure. AMD Socket AM5 also features PCIe 5.0 lanes with up to 24 lanes.

AM5 series motherboards are available in three grades.

X670 Extreme: Provides PCIe 5.0 support for two graphics slots and one memory slot, delivering powerful connectivity and higher overclocking performance

X670: PCIe5.0 support for one memory slot and one graphics slot (with PCIe5.0 support for the graphics slot optional), designed for enthusiasts to overclock

B650: With PCIe 5.0 support for memory slots, designed for high-performance users.
