A few days ago, Xiaomi announced that it will launch a new Redmi Note 11 SE phone for the Indian market, although calling it a new product is a bit of a stretch. The phone is actually the same as last year’s Redmi Note 10S phone.

Xiaomi has now announced the pricing for the Redmi Note 11 SE, which comes in blue, white, black and purple colors and starts at INR 14,999 (RMB 1292.91), but Flipkart is offering a discounted price of INR 13,499 (RMB 1163.61) for early buyers. The phone will go on sale on Xiaomi’s official store and Flipkart on August 31.

The Redmi Note 11 SE is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G95 chip, runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5, and offers three internal storage configurations: 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. The device features a 6.43-inch FullHD+ 60Hz AMOLED screen, a 5000 mAh battery, and 33W charging support. A 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, 2MP depth-of-field camera, and 2MP macro camera are on the rear. 13MP front-facing selfie camera. Support side fingerprint recognition, 3.5mm headphone jack, infrared remote control.

However, it should be noted that the Redmi Note 11 SE phone does not ship with a 33W charger in the box, so users must purchase it separately.

Led by Apple and Samsung, some manufacturers have started to stop including original chargers in their phone packaging, on the grounds that many consumers already have extra charging heads. While some consumers welcome this decision to help reduce e-waste, others are a bit annoyed by it, especially when the only way to achieve the nominal maximum charging power is with the original charging head.

But judging from the market trend in recent years, the trend of buying a phone without a free charging head seems to be unstoppable. The latest news is that Xiaomi’s (Mi) Redmi may also follow this trend.

The information listed on the Redmi Note 11 SE product page on Xiaomi India’s website shows that the upcoming device will also not come with a bundled charger in the package (even though there are other devices shown on the website with charging heads).

Of course, this is not something we’ve seen on entry-level smartphones, as both the Realme Narzo 50A Prime and the new Samsung Galaxy A are not equipped with factory charging heads as standard.

Finally, if more brands choose to follow suit, the major manufacturers will have to compete in other areas of mobile productiveness in the future — especially if pricing can be further reduced.

Xiaomi is gearing up to add a new member to its Redmi Note 11 lineup, the Redmi Note 11 SE. Xiaomi, along with POCO, is quite known for rebranding and launching the same smartphone under different names in different markets, or sometimes, even in the same market. The brand will launch the Note 11 SE as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10S.

Redmi Note 11 SE; Is It The Same Redmi Note 10S?

Notable tipster Kacper Skrzypek claims the Redmi Note 10S will launch as POCO M5s. The recent listing of the products on the IMEI database also says the same. Now, adding more to it, the tipster has further stated that the same device with the moniker “Redmi Note 11 SE” has been spotted on the MIUI codebase for India. So basically if this turns out to be true, the Redmi Note 10S is basically going to launch again as POCO M5s in global markets and Redmi Note 11 SE in India.

However, we expect that the device will launch with some minor adjustments and at a reasonable price. The device may launch at quite a lower price if the same hardware specifications are used and as the prices decline over time. Let’s now wait for an official announcement of the device before learning more about it.

Redmi Note 11 SE specifications (Expected)

If the reports of Redmi Note 11 SE being the rebranded version of Redmi Note 10S are true. It will offer a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and standard 60Hz high refresh rate support. The display will be further protected using the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard internal storage. It may have a 64-megapixels triple rear camera and a 13-megapixels front-facing camera. It will gather power from a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast wired charging.
