The day before the release of the Honor 80 Standard Edition, Qualcomm’s website announced the parameters of the Snapdragon 782G (SM7325-AF).

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G is built on a 6nm process and is the successor to the Snapdragon 778G+, with an 8-core CPU, including a 2.7GHz single-core Cortex-A78 + 2.2GHz tri-core Cortex-A78 + 1.9GHz quad-core Cortex-A55, and a GPU equipped with Adreno 642L.

Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 782G has a 5 percent better CPU and 10 percent better GPU than the Snapdragon 778G+.

For the rest of the peripheral support, the Snapdragon 782G is essentially the same as the older processor, with Quick Charge 4+ support, as well as the same fused AI gas pedal architecture, the same Qualcomm Spectra ISP image processing support, up to 200MP sensors, and support for triple cameras working simultaneously.

The Snapdragon 782G also has the same Snapdragon X53 baseband chip, Sub-6GHz and mmWave millimeter wave support, FastConnect 6700 offering up to 2.9 Gbps Wi-Fi 6 support, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The standard version of the Honor 80 will debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chip, and from the official publicity, the Honor 80 series has a front-facing “pill-shaped” camera module. In addition, the rear camera module forms an “8” shape, echoing the name. The texture of the back of the body is like a blue wave, very design sense.
