On why pre-orders for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remastered were cancelled in June, Ubisoft explained that it was because the game no longer had a confirmed release date, so existing pre-orders were cancelled and those who pre-ordered could opt for a refund.

Ubisoft said more details will be provided in the future, however, the company did not provide a time frame for when this news will be shared. It’s worth noting that Ubisoft said in a blog post, “There are currently no plans to remake any other Prince of Persia games other than Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.”

It has been more than two years since Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remastered was first announced and has been delayed several times for not meeting the standards of fans, with the game officially confirmed previously to land on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
