Pride Edition Sport Loop

The Pride Edition Sport Loop displays a colour gradient that uses colours from various pride flags. Of these, the light blue, pink, and white symbolize the transgender and gender non-conforming members of our society while the black and brown stand for the Black and Latinx communities respectively. The colours also represent those afflicted with or having succumbed to HIV/AIDS.

In order to reveal the word “pride” on the band, an innovative technique was employed that gives off the double-layer nylon-woven textile loops in regions where the letters are to reveal. The word “pride” is printed in a cursive style drawing inspiration from the original “hello” greeting displayed on the very first Macintosh in 1984.

Synchronizing with this band is a Pride Threads watch face that displays colourful threads echoing with the woven loops on the band. These threads move on the screen when you raise your wrist, tap the screen or rotate the digital crown of the watch.

Prime Edition Nike Sport Loop

On the other hand, is the Prime Edition Nike Sport Loop that features all rainbow colours. This is to honour the LGBTQ+ community “who are expanding sport for future generations and inspiring others to feel the joy of being authentically themselves.” Matching the band is a rainbow-coloured Nike Bounce watch face.

Both watch faces have already been made available for download. The watch faces would be compatible with Apple Watch or the upcoming watch OS 8.6, and iPhone6s or upcoming iOS 15.5
