Xiaomi Poco X5 5G phone will be released in India on March 14: powered by Snapdragon 695 chip

The Poco X5 phone is equipped with a 6.67-inch 120 Hz AMOLED touch screen, a built-in Snapdragon 695 chip, 6GB / 8GB of memory, 128GB / 256GB of expandable storage space, and a rear three-camera setup (48MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera + 2MP macro camera), a front-facing 13MP selfie camera, and a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. The machine runs the MIUI 13 system based on Android 12.

Xiaomi Poco X5 Standard Edition 6GB+128GB is priced at US$250/250 Euros (currently about 1,843 RMB), and 8GB+256GB is priced at 300 US Dollars/300 Euros (currently about 2,211 RMB).

The FCC website shows that the POCO X5 5G features a rectangular camera module, dual-band Wi-Fi support, and a 4900mAh battery. It also supports n5, n7, n38, n41, n77 and n78 5G bands and is powered by MIUI 14.

The Indian version of the POCO X5 5G is model number 22101320I. The POCO India chief has also hinted at a new phone, which could be the upcoming X5 5G.

The device was also previously listed in the IMEI database. In addition to the global model, an Indian version of the phone was also found on the IMEI website. The phone is expected to launch in the Chinese market as a Redmi model with model number 22101320C.

According to the leak, the POCO X5 5G, codenamed “Redwood”, is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate LCD panel and a Snapdragon 778G Plus processor.

For comparison, the POCO X4 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate, a Snapdragon 695 processor, a 5000mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and a 108MP main camera on the rear.

At the moment, the POCO brand has not announced a release date for the new models, but the POCO X5 5G is already in the IMEI database. According to Xiaomiui, the new model will be called “M20” and will be available globally, in India and in China, where it will be launched as a Redmi model.
