Pei Yu, the former co-founder of OnePlus, started Nothing after leaving OnePlus. The executive previously shared his thoughts on the iPhone 14 Pro model as a reviewer, and in his latest video, he once again shares his thoughts on the OnePlus 11.

Pei Yu begins his review by acknowledging the strong performance of the OnePlus 11. Compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chip in the Nothing Phone (1), the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the OnePlus 11 is clearly more powerful.

Pei Yu believes that although there is a huge difference in performance, there is not much difference in the performance of the two phones in low-light conditions. Pei estimated the cost of materials for the OnePlus 11 at $480, about twice that of the Nothing Phone(1).

Pei Yu thinks the OxygenOS used in the OnePlus 11 needs further “polishing” and thinks the system is relatively bloated and different from his experience during his tenure.

Pei Yu concludes that the OnePlus 11 is a “very solid, high-quality” piece of hardware. At the end of the video, he says he would still recommend the Pixel 7 Pro for Android users, the iPhone for other tech enthusiasts or people who like iOS, and the Nothing Phone for those who don’t like to buy high-end phones over $800 (1).
