CDPR announced that Cyberpunk 2077 game ushered in the PC version of the optimization update, adding support for DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex, that is, oversampling frame generation (interpolation) and reducing latency.

NVIDIA DLSS 3 frame generation requires a GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card with the Hardware Accelerated GPU Initiative enabled in the operating system.

In Windows 11, the “Hardware Accelerated GPU Plan” option is on by default. In Windows 10, the way to turn on the Hardware Acceleration GPU Program is as follows.

  • 1. Press the “Windows” key on your keyboard, type “Graphics” and press the Enter key. At this point, the “Graphics Settings” menu should be open.
  • 2. In the “Graphics Settings” menu, turn on the “Hardware Acceleration GPU Plan” option.
  • 3. Restart the computer.

CDPR states that it is recommended to enable DLSS resolution boosting technology when using a 16GB or less video memory device with 1440p or higher resolution enabled.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action-adventure RPG. Set in the dark future of Night City, a colorful and dangerous megalopolis where power changes and endless body transformations are a constant theme.

NVIDIA announced a major release update to DLSS 3 at the end of the quarter during its CES 2023 keynote. NVIDIA said DLSS 3 is now in a rapid development phase, with the technology used to continually improve the FPS of games, as well as improve the image quality of games.

According to NVIDIA official news, with the addition of NVIDIA Reflex, the game response speed of Dota 2 has been further improved. When using GeForce RTX GPUs, you can reduce system latency by up to 23% with just one click. Using Reflex to reduce system latency requires only GeForce GTX 900 series cards and above.

According to reports, by reducing the system delay, mouse clicks can be converted into actions on the screen faster, which is helpful for various operations such as making up the knife and robbing the Aegis. Players of all skill levels will benefit, giving you an added advantage especially when competing against players with higher system latency.

You can enable NVIDIA Reflex by simply clicking on “Settings” –> “Video”. In our pre-release testing, enabling NVIDIA Reflex reduced system latency by up to 23% at 2560×1440 when using a GeForce RTX 3060.
