Motorola is preparing a lightweight phone for its Edge 30 lineup, and there are rumors that it will be called the Edge 30 Neo, available in no less than four colors. Today, @rquandt took to Twitter to confirm the name and shared an image of the heroic Very Peri painting that matches the 2022 Pantone colors.

The image doesn’t tell us much more about the phone, but it confirms a single camera on the front and a dual camera module on the back with a 64MP sensor and OIS anti-shake for the main camera, with the power button and volume rocker on the right side.

We can safely assume that the fingerprint scanner is under the panel (so the screen should be an OLED build), which would be an upgrade from the side-mounted sensor on the Edge 20 Lite. The photos also show that there is no 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom of this model, which might be disappointing for some, as the 20 Lite has it.

In terms of configuration, the previous rumor is that the codename “Miami” is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, complemented by an 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM storage combination, a 120Hz POLED high refresh screen, and a 4020 mAh battery.

The Motorola Edge 30 series will launch on September 8, and we have the renderings of this coming series. So far we can confirm the presence of two devices in this series, an Ultra model and a Neo model. As for the latter, it will launch with specifications that are not up to that of the Ultra model.

In terms of design, the Edge 30 Ultra in Motorola’s coming series will use a design similar to that of the Motorola Moto X30 Pro. The company is using a more refined design on the Edge 30 Neo and might stand in place for the Edge Fusion from last year. Both devices promise top-notch specifications to appeal to buyers conscious of their device’s performance.

In terms of specifications, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is a rebranding of the Motorola Moto X30 Pro for the global market. It’d launch with a 200MP main camera sensor and make use of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. For its battery and charging speed, this device will make use of a 5000mAh battery and 125W fast charging respectively.

As for the Motorola Edge 30 Neo, it’ll launch with the Snapdragon 695 SoC, bringing a relatively good performance. Its rendering image shows that it will use a dual rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera sensor. There will be a 4020mAh battery and the device supports 30W fast charging ability.

The pricing of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be similar to that of the Motorola Moto X30 Pro. But, the other device in the Motorola Edge 30 series will retail at a price within the $400 price range. More information on the devices in this series within the Motorola Edge 30 Neo will come during its launch event.
