The Edge 30 Fusion comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. 6.5-inch pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Edge 30 Fusion features dual rear cameras, including a 50MP primary camera and 13MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera. The built-in 4400mAh battery supports TurboPower 125W fast charging.

The new device is priced at $799.99 (about RMB 5,600 and will go on sale on December 12.

Motorola Edge 30 Series Indian Launch Date

The official Twitter handle of Motorola India has shared a post which reveals the launch date of the upcoming Motorola Edge series device. However, the post doesn’t explicitly mentions any particular Motorola Edge device. The Tweet confirms the launch date of the device, which has been set to September 8th, 2022.

Three different devices, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola Edge 30 Fusion and Motorola Edge 30 Lite are expected to release in the same launch event. In India, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will debut as the country’s first smartphone with a 200MP camera. It will display a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ 144Hz OLED panel. A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powers the gadget. It has a 4,500mAh battery that enables 125W fast charging. It features 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. A 60MP front-facing camera is included with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

A Snapdragon 888+ processor powers the 6.55-inch Full-HD+ 144Hz OLED display on the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, which also has a 4,400mAh battery that supports 68W rapid charging. The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion has 512GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM. It sports a front-facing 32MP selfie camera in addition to a triple back camera setup with a 50MP main, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Although Moto has not officially confirmed it, Geekbench let us know the details of the Edge 30 Fusion’s processor, storage and operating system.

The database shows that the device is codenamed “tundra”, which is the same as the Edge S30 Pro. This is further supported by a couple of recently leaked renders that show an octa-core SoC with quad cores @ 1.8 GHz + three cores @ 2.42 GHz + one CPU core @ 3 GHz, according to Geekbench.

The chipset is presumed to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+, complemented by an Adreno 660 GPU. Single-core score 1158, multi-core score 3444. Other than that, Moto Edge 30 is speculated to have a 6.55-inch @ FHD+ resolution OLED display with 144Hz high refresh rate.

The front 32MP selfie single camera, rear 50MP main camera + 13MP ultra wide angle + 2MP depth sensor, with a 4400 mAh battery supporting 68W fast charging, pre-installed MyUX software based on Android 12.

Moto Edge 30 Fusion Renders; What’s New?

The dual-tone rear camera bump that houses three camera sensors and an LED flash is depicted in the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion leaked renders. Its primary camera is a 50MP sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization) support. The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is most likely to retain the same OV50A sensor that is used in the Moto S30 Pro. A 13MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor are placed on either side of it. A 32MP camera for selfies and video calls is housed in the tiny hole on top of the display.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion will probably have the same 6.55-inch 10-bit curved OLED display on the front as the Chinese model. Here, it sports a 144Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. The display has a DCI-P3 colour gamut and an HDR10+ certification. We also have a fingerprint scanner built into the panel. In a nutshell, it’s going to preserve all the specifications and hardware offered on the Moto S30 Pro.

A Geekbench result that appeared prior to the official announcement and verified the Snapdragon 888+ chipset used the code name “Tundra” for this model. Despite the fact that the phone seems to be identical, it’s unclear whether the new moniker will bring about any spec modifications. Take this with a pinch of salt because there is currently no official information available about the device.

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion spotted on FCC

An upcoming Motorola device with the model number XT2243-1 has been spotted on the FCC database. The model number XT2243-1 reportedly belongs to the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Fusion. According to the listings, it is a 5G network compatible smartphone and Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC support will be there. The listing further confirms that it will have a 4400mAh battery with support for 68.2W fast wired charging. Apart from these, the listing doesn’t reveal anything about the device.

Moto Edge 30 Fusion specifications (rumoured)

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion may feature a 6.55-inch POLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The device will be available in multiple variants, out of which the 8GB+128GB variant was recently tipped online. The FCC has already confirmed the availability of a 4400mAh battery with 68.2W fast charging. It will boot up on Android 12 right out of the box. The device has also been rumoured to have a black and white colour variant. The device is also rumoured to start from EUR 679 for the base 8GB+128GB variant.
