The sci-fi role-playing game “Starfield” developed by Bethesda will be released globally on September 6, 2023. This is a highly anticipated game that allows players to explore 1,000 planets. However, Starfield’s file sizes and preload dates were leaked ahead of time by retailers like Amazon in the weeks leading up to the game’s release.

According to the Xbox Series S+ “Starfield” bundle page in the Amazon store, “Starfield” will start preloading on August 9, 2023 (Wednesday), which means that players can download the game to their devices in advance so that they can play on Experience it immediately on the day of release. It is worth mentioning that this is the preload date of the XSXS|S version, it is not clear whether the PC version will match it.

Plus, Starfield is 125 GB, both on Xbox and PC.

In fact, offering preloads is necessary for such a highly anticipated game. It is noticed that not long ago, “Baldur’s Gate 3” did not provide preloading, which caused the Steam server to almost crash when the game was released.

It is worth mentioning that users who purchase the advanced version of “Starfield” can experience the game 5 days in advance (September 1).

According to the latest estimates released by market research agency Ampere Analysis, Microsoft has sold a total of 18.5 million Xbox Series S|X game consoles. Microsoft no longer officially announces the sales of Xbox console, the above data is the agency’s estimated value.

For a better comparison, attached is the official data released by Sony in its latest financial report: PlayStation 5 sales have exceeded 32 million units.

Ampere Analysis analyst Piers Harding-Rolls believes that supply chain and other issues will cause many challenges in the game console market in 2022. Revenue in the global console games market will drop from $60.9 billion in 2021 to $56.9 billion in 2022.

Sony’s 2022 market share (including console hardware, games, and services) will be 45%, down 1.3% from 2021. Microsoft has grown its market share from 25.5 percent to 27.3 percent over the same period, thanks to increased spending on console hardware and services like Game Pass.

Bethesda officially confirmed that “Starfield” will exclusively land on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023″, and considering that “Hongxia Island” will be released on May 2, this may Means “Starry Night” will be released around June.

On the latest episode of “The XboxTwo,” Windows Central Editor-in-Chief Jez Corden answers questions about Sky. He said that according to the latest information he received, “Starry Night” will be officially released in June 2023, but then he quickly changed his words when he realized what he said.

In fact, it was reported last year that both “Starfield ” and “Hongxia Island” will be postponed to the first half of 2023. According to the publisher, this is for additional polish and to ensure players have the best possible experience.

We have also reported before that Jez Corden received news that “Starfield” is fully playable, but the developer has still not confirmed the launch date. The game’s release date on Steam has also been changed from “2023” to “coming soon”, which means that Microsoft may announce its release date in the near future.

“Starfield” is a new masterpiece developed by Bethesda Game Studios for Microsoft’s Xbox and PC platforms. Director Todd Howard described it as “the space version of “Skyrim”. This work was originally expected to be released on November 11, 2022. Released on 1st, 2023.

Set in a space-themed world, the action role-playing game is Bethesda’s third game IP after the Fallout series, and is described as a “next-gen experience” that players have never seen before.

The story of “Starfield” takes place in the galaxy “The Settled Systems” (The Settled Systems) about 50 light-years away from the solar system. Around 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective broke out in a brutal “Colony War”. Players will play a character belonging to the space exploration organization “Constellation” and can be customized. It is reported that “Starfield” can be played from a first-person or third-person perspective.
