The Maybach S 580 e will be the first to be launched in China this year (it will be reported when the pricing is updated), and then it will be launched in Thailand, Europe and other countries.

The model uses the same powertrain as the Mercedes-Benz S580e, but the Maybach is the first to drive carbon-free.

The new car adopts a turbocharged 3.0-liter L6 gasoline engine and integrates the electric motor arrangement in the gearbox. The maximum system output can reach 375 kW / 510 horsepower / 750Nm, and the zero-to-hundred-acceleration time is 5.1 seconds.

It is equipped with a 28 kWh battery, with a WLTP pure electric range of 100km, a power of 110 kW (150 hp), enough to drive in urban areas, and supports 11kW AC charging and a maximum of 60kW DC fast charging, which can be charged from 0 in about 30 minutes to 100%.

Mercedes-Maybach boss Daniel Lescrow explained that the S 580 e Sedan is not just a PHEV model, it is a key step for Maybach towards an electric future.

"With our first plug-in hybrid model, we are combining the luxury typical of a Maybach with emission-free driving in electric drive mode. The Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e represents a crucial step in our transformation of the heritage brand into an electric future."

In the interior part, the Maybach S 580 e adopts lightweight sound-absorbing technology combined with the noise-reducing structure of the body and the thickened double-glazed glass used in the rear C-pillar triangular window to create an extremely quiet interior atmosphere, while the battery charge status display on the instrument panel This is also the difference between the car and traditional fuel-powered models.
