Logitech thinks it’s not just audiophiles; console and PC gamers may also want custom headset silicon plugs to enhance bass and sound quality. the $229.99 G Fits true wireless headset released in October borrows tricks from the 2020 UE Fits: a one-time, 60-second, LED to heat and change the silicon plugs to fit the shape of the user’s inner ear.

The accompanying mobile app reminds the user to hold each earbud firmly in the ear and to keep the jaw relaxed and calm. The silicone tips warm up during the molding process, and while this is a far cry from the typical earbud fitting process, it provides a comfortable and wearable feel and seal, and also allows for better sound.

The G Fits also share the same design as the UE Fits, including a pill-shaped design, large charging case, dual beamforming microphones on each earbud, and more. The company has made some updates to the internals, including a new chip, a larger battery, and support for Logitech’s Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless connection. the G Fits box includes a USB-A transmitter (and a USB-C to A adapter) available for most modern consoles or computers, and they can also connect to audio devices via Bluetooth 5.2. For gamers, this model also includes a low-latency Bluetooth mode, but does not support simultaneous wireless connections, so users cannot simultaneously play and take calls via Bluetooth.

The G Fits have a limited IPX3 rating for water and dust resistance and will be available in white or black when it launches in October. the G Fits will last up to 7 hours per charge when using Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless mode and up to 10 hours when connected via Bluetooth. The charging case can provide an additional 8 hours of battery life in Lightspeed mode or another 12 hours in Bluetooth mode, and the case does not support wireless charging.

The G Fits are a major move for Logitech in terms of wireless gaming earbuds, joining a handful of previous attempts by companies like HyperX and EPOS. The $229.99 price tag is high, which is not surprising since it draws on many similarly priced earbuds in pricing as well ($249.99 when the UE Fits launched).

Logitech, which doesn’t usually leak its products often, has been doing its best to shed that “reputation” lately. Last month, we learned about its Android gaming phone with Tencent through a leak, and now a set of upcoming TWS earbuds has caught our attention: the colorful Logitech G FITS.

The FITS has a bold color palette, comes with high-brightness lighting (which of course only illuminates the ears) for a true wireless headset that looks to be a very special piece of dedicated gaming hardware, and is the first earbud offering in the company’s G series, and the second after the launch of the Logitech Zone true wireless headset that includes active noise cancellation.

Details of the headset are unclear, but we can tell that it comes with a set of USB-A and -C wireless adapters to provide users with a method of connectivity other than Bluetooth for PCs and smartphones. It’s also unclear when these will launch and start shipping, and we’ll update you as we learn more details.
