In October 2023, Stellantis Group acquired a 21% stake in Leapmotor for US$1.6 billion. As part of the transaction, Stellantis Group and Leapmotor will establish a joint venture company called “Leapmotor International” with a ratio of 51%:49%. Previously, it was reported that Stellantis is planning to use the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy as the European production base of Leapmotor vehicles. The annual output is expected to reach 150,000 vehicles and may be put into production as early as 2026 or 2027.

The rear-wheel drive model is equipped with a 69.2/78.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, achieving a range of 515km/580km respectively; the four-wheel drive model is equipped with an 89.97kWh ternary lithium battery, with a range of 580km.
