Apple today announced its financial report for the fourth fiscal quarter of fiscal year 2023 (Q3 2023), in which iPad business revenue was US$6.4 billion, compared with US$7.2 billion in the same period last year, a decrease of 11% %.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a subsequent conference call that with no new iPad products launched in 2023, revenue from the product is expected to “decelerate significantly” next quarter.

Tim Cook said that although iPad business revenue fell 11% year-on-year, the iPad still set the “gold standard” for tablets.

Tim Cook said that due to tight supply chains in 2022, a lot of pent-up demand was released and satisfied in the third quarter of last year, so comparisons of various sales data this year will be “ugly.”

Tim Cook admitted that Apple will not launch any new iPad products this year, and almost confirmed that Apple will not launch a new iPad in November or December. The content is as follows:

We expect year-over-year revenue performance for iPad and Wearables, Home and Accessories to slow materially from Q3 as we adjust the timing of product launches.

On iPad, we launched the new iPad Pro and 10th generation iPad in Q4 last year.

Apple’s latest iPad products are the M2 iPad Pro and iPad 10 released in October 2022; the iPad Air 5 will be released in March 2022; in addition, the iPad mini has not been updated since September 2021.

On Nov. 4, Apple’s newly released Apple iPad 10 tablet can charge up to 29W, according to charginghead.com, a website specializing in charging.

ChargingHeads.com says that the Apple iPad 10 with USB-C interface does not break the 30W charging speed whether it is bright and still or running a high-load program.

In a previously published review of the new iPad, The Verge noted that the data transfer speed of the iPad 10’s USB-C port is limited to the 480 Mbps that USB 2.0 can support, meaning that despite the USB-C port, the 10th generation iPad has the same data transfer speed as the 9th generation iPad with Lightning.

In terms of configuration, iPad 10 features a larger 10.9-inch display, an A14 bionic chip, a USB-C port, a Touch ID power button, and a horizontally placed FaceTime camera. The iPad 10 currently starts at RMB 3,599 on the official website.

Apple Retail Stores, including the U.S., have suspended sales of the Apple Pencil (1st generation) until stocks of the USB-C to Lightning adapter, which can charge the new entry-level iPad Apple Pencil, improve, according to MacRumors. charging.

iPad 10 is only compatible with the Apple Pencil (1st generation) with a USB-C connector. To charge the Apple Pencil (1st generation) with iPad, users must use a USB-C to Lightning adapter, which once faced a month-long shipping delay.

Apple will provide the USB-C to Lightning adapter in the Apple Pencil (1st generation) boxes, but the boxes have not yet been shipped to Apple retail stores. Apple stores have been instructed not to sell older Apple Pencil (1st generation) models until the new shipments arrive.

This move will ensure that users of the new iPad 10 will have a way to charge their Apple Pencil (1st generation). The new iPad 10 is available in Apple stores this week. According to the Apple Online Store, the Apple Pencil (1st generation) is estimated to ship in 1 to 2 weeks. For existing users, Apple also sells a USB-C to Lightning adapter separately for $67 in China.

Last week, Apple announced the new iPad 10 and iPad Pro models. While the base model of the tablet now comes with a redesign, more colors and the A14 Bionic chip, Apple has made the M2 processor the main selling point of the iPad Pro. If you are planning to buy one of these, the electronics markets in some countries need to do their best to avoid them, as they are particularly expensive.

As always, the price comparisons around the world were carried out by Nukeni. Jun Saito surveyed 37 countries and regions where Apple has direct sales. He gives some interesting insights into iPad prices, as all countries and regions are raising their prices. For example, Turkey took first place with a price increase of 189.8% – even though this market doesn’t even sell the most expensive and highest-end models.

Second place went to Hungary with a 92.6% price increase, and third place went to Japan with a 72.9% price increase. Even in the US, the base model of the iPad received a 36.5% price increase.

It is also important to note that due to the different tax rates in the US and Canada, depending on where you buy, the general list provides the lowest and highest prices for each country.

Considering the selection of base models, these are the countries to avoid if you are planning to buy the new iPad 10.

Brazil: $1,002.55

Hungary: $622.68

Turkey: $607.46

Poland: $599.01

Denmark: $597.83

And these countries and regions are the most suitable.

  • Malaysia: US$443.02
  • Hong Kong region: US$445.74
  • United States: US$457.78
  • Canada: US$457.78
  • Taiwan: US$460.69

Worst and best places to buy the new M2 iPad Pro.

Considering the selection of base models, these are the countries to avoid if you’re planning to buy a new iPad 10.

  • Brazil: US$1,653.94
  • Hungary: $1125.63
  • Turkey: $1102.07
  • Poland: US$1074.25
  • Norway: US$1072.32

These countries are even cheaper.

  • United States: USD 799,00
  • Malaysia: US$822.93
  • Hong Kong region: US$827.91
  • Japan: US$838.53
  • Canada: US$839.90

The rumored third-party case for Apple’s 10th-generation iPad (tentatively called iPad 10) has hit the shelves of a Target shop in the US ahead of schedule.

Twitter user @roeeban today shared a photo of a case for the unannounced 2022 entry-level iPad. The case was designed by accessories manufacturer Speck, which has been making cases for Apple products for more than a decade and may have sources in Apple’s supply chain for design details on the upcoming device.

Notably, the case has holders for the Apple Pencil 2, suggesting that iPad 10 will support newer versions of the Apple Pencil. iPad 9 is only compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil.

The new iPad 10 will feature a new design with a larger 10.5-inch display, a USB-C port, a flat iPad Pro-like bezel, and a horizontal FaceTime camera, and is expected to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s not entirely clear whether the device will retain the Touch ID physical Home button or use the Touch ID power button.

The new iPad 10 will likely be released this month alongside the new iPad Pro 2022. iPadOS 16 is expected to be released to the public next week.

Apple last updated the entry-level iPad in September 2021. iPad 9 features a 10.2-inch display, A13 bionic chip, upgraded 12-megapixel front-facing camera with centered portrait support, True Tone, and double the base storage. 10.2-inch iPad 9 starts at $329 ( RMB 2,499 for China) with 64GB of storage space.
