Following the launch of the Developer Preview yesterday, Apple today rolled out Beta 3 updates for iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 public beta.

In iOS 16.2 Beta 3, Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series brings customization options to the AOD rest screen display feature. Currently, iPhone 14 Pro Series users can disable the wallpaper or notifications on the AOD screen from the Settings – Display and Brightness – Rest Screen Display page.

When users enable the rest screen display feature, iPhone 14 Pro will display a solid black design as well as the lock screen widget and time after turning off displaying wallpapers and notifications.

iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 add the Infinity Notes app for taking notes, sketching, drawing, brainstorming, creating mood boards, and more. Multiple people can work on the same Infinity Note sketchpad, and changes for all participants are synced in real-time.

For iPad, iPadOS 16.2 brings external monitor support to the foreground scheduling multitasking feature, allowing up to eight apps to be used simultaneously. External display support is available for M1 and M2 iPad models.

Apple has added a new Home app architecture to iOS and iPadOS 16.2 that Apple says is designed to bring faster, more reliable performance, especially in homes with lots of smart home accessories.
