Although Intel needs to wait until the 14th generation of Meteor Lake processors for real meaningful integrated/core graphics, the upcoming 13th generation Raptor Lake iGPU will also have a significant performance boost compared to AMD’s Vega, according to the newly revealed OpenCL score information.

In the latest discovery shared by Benchleaks, an OpenCL runtime score for the Intel Core i9-13900 was found in the GeekBench runtime library. The score was posted on an Intel UHD integrated GPU with 32 execution units or 256 cores and a clock speed of 1650 MHz, a 100 MHz increase over the 12th generation iGPU and up to 1550 MHz on the Core i9-12900K. This is a 6.5% increase over the clock speed of the 12th generation part and should help provide a nice performance boost.

As for the benchmarks themselves, the Intel UHD iGPU on the 13th generation Raptor Lake CPU scored 9498 points. By comparison, the AMD Radeon Vega 10 integrated GPU scores around 9400-9600, so that’s a pretty impressive performance for a Raptor Lake chip, but if we compare it to the UHD 770 graphics chip (12900K), that’s only a 3% performance improvement.

As you can see, Intel still has a long way to go, and AMD isn’t stopping there either. Their iGPU will be upgraded to RDNA 3 in the next generation (Phoenix Point) and even the Ryzen 7000 CPU will come with an RDNA 2 core, albeit with only 2 compute units. So the 14th generation Meteor Lake iGPUs do need a significant performance boost if Intel wants to launch some kind of competition in the integrated graphics space. Intel Raptor Lake CPUs will be available next month, and Meteor Lake CPUs will be available in 2023.

On AMD Zen4 Ryzen 7000, AMD only symbolically configured 2CU scale GPU display unit, mainly bright machine use, medium and high load will not think about it. As the main rival of Intel 13 generation Core did not let down its guard, and from the test scores of the snatch, the nuclear display unit was further enhanced this time.

This time, it is a Core i9-13900 equipped with an HP desktop computer, which is identified as 24 cores and 32 threads, with a base frequency of 2GHz, an acceleration frequency of 5.3GHz, and an integrated 36MB L3. The nuclear display is still 32EU scale, with a frequency of 1.65GHz.

Compared with the UHD770 on the 12900, the EU configuration has not changed, and the frequency has been increased by 100MHz, which is 6.5%.

In the end, under OpenCL, the running score of the 13th generation was 2.6% higher than that of the 12th generation.

If it is compared with the RTX 3070, it is impossible to see it directly.

Judging from the current revelations, the nuclear display does not seem to be the focus of the 13th-generation Core upgrade, but I am also happy to see that Intel has not reduced the allocation.
