The new firmware update for the Huawei Band 7 is now available in 2.0.0.50 (M03), which is 9.79MB in size, and adds a new smartcard function and support for finding the Band on your phone, as well as optimizing the detection of heart rate and blood oxygen-related data.

The smart card feature allows users to automatically match and quickly recall the corresponding card in the appropriate scenario when using the band.

Note that the Smart Card feature is only supported by NFC in mainland China and needs to be set up in the “Wallet” function of the “Sports & Health” app (only EMUI, HarmonyOS and Android phones support this feature). The phone can find the Band by going to the “Sports & Health” app > Devices > HUAWEI Band 7 > Find Device”.

In firmware version 2.0.0.50, Huawei Band 7 also adds WeChat video and voice caller message alerts, but only HarmonyOS 2 and above or Android 10.0 and above support some phones.

In addition, Huawei Band 7 has also made a number of optimizations, including optimizing the Bluetooth connection of the band and enabling new icons; optimizing the detection of heart rate and blood oxygen-related data; optimizing the accuracy of sleep monitoring; optimizing the display of message notifications in some scenarios; optimizing the display of animated dials; optimizing the experience of using the iOS mobile wallet access card and bus card functions.

The Watch GT3 Pro comes in two designs, Ceramic and Titanium. The titanium design has a 1.43-inch display and is 46mm thick, while the ceramic design has a 1.32-inch display and is 43mm thick. The ceramic design has a battery life of 14 days on normal usage, but you can get 7 days of normal usage on the titanium design.

The Huawei Watch GT3 Pro can go for a scuba dive thanks to its 30m free diving feature. This protects the smartwatch from damage, hence enabling a user to utilize their smartwatch while underwater.
