First introduced in 2021, HP is now selling a new model with the same basic features, but with a major upgrade: an AMD Ryzen 7035 series processor.

These new chips are not the most powerful members of AMD’s 2023 mobile processor lineup; instead, they are actually the same as last year’s Ryzen 6000U processors, with the following relevant configurations:

• Zen 3+ CPU cores (upgraded from Zen 3)
• Higher CPU base and boost frequency
• RDNA 2 integrated graphics card (upgraded from Ryzen Vega)

The HP Pavilion Aero 13 (2023) is available with either AMD Ryzen 5 7535U or Ryzen 7 7735U chips, offering 8 GB or 16 GB of memory and storage options ranging from 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSDs to 1 TB drives, where the memory is soldered, but the storage is not, and users can upgrade their SSD drives themselves.

The entry-level HP Pavilion Aero 13 notebook features an IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, but HP also offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution display option.

All versions of the Pavilion Aero 13 notebooks feature a 720p webcam with dual microphones, B&O audio stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard, precision touchpad, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support, 43Wh battery, fingerprint recognition and a set of ports, including

• 1 USB Type-C (10 Gbps, DisplayPort 1.4 Alt mode and USB PD)
• 2 USB Type-A (5 Gbps)
• 1 HDMI 2.1
• 1 x 3.5mm audio
• 1 AC power input

The HP Pavilion Aero 13 laptop body measures 11.7 inches (approximately 297.18 mm) x 8.2 inches (approximately 208.28 mm) x 0.7 inches (approximately 17.78 mm).

The HP Pavilion Aero 13 notebook is available in the U.S. starting at $880 (currently about $6,125) for the Ryzen 5 7535U processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage model, and $930 (currently about $6,473) for the 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB fully configured model.

In terms of configuration, the notebooks are available with R5 7535U and R7 7735U, the vest of R5 6600U and R7 6800U, with 16GB RAM as standard and optional 512GB / 1TB SSD, priced from INR 72,999 ( currently about RMB 6,074).

The HP Pavilion Areo 13 laptop features a 13.3-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 pixels, a 100 percent sRGB color gamut and up to 400 nits of brightness, and HP says it will also offer a 2.5K display option. The laptop features a magnesium alloy body that weighs about 1kg and is about 17mm thick, with ports including full-featured USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and 3.5mm audio jacks.
