Mini PC manufacturer GMK released two new products, the NucBox K1 and the NucBox K2, but they actually look almost identical.

The NucBox K1 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor, priced at $499; the NucBox K2 has the same physical design but is equipped with a newer Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, priced at 539 US dollars. These two processors are very similar and you won’t see much difference in actual performance.

Both processors pair eight Zen 3+ CPU cores with Radeon 680M integrated graphics with 12 RDNA 2 compute units. The only real difference is that the Ryzen 7 7735HS maxes out at 4.75Hz, while the 6800H tops out at 4.7Hz, and the new chip defaults to a TDP range between 35W and 54W, while the older model defaulted to 35W.

Benchmark results show that the NucBox K2 with the Ryzen 7 7735HS chip has limited performance gains.

Both of GMK’s mini PCs measure 4.8 inches by 4.4 inches by 1.7 inches and support up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 memory and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe solid-state storage.

GMK offers customers the option of purchasing a barebones model (no memory, storage or operating system) or paying an additional fee for a pre-configured system with Windows 11 Pro and at least 16GB of RAM and a 512GB or larger SSD. While the computer supports PCIe storage, users will only get PCIe 3.0 SSDs if they purchase a pre-configured system from GMK.

Ports on both models include:

 2 HDMI 2.0 ports

1 USB4 port (40 Gbps with DisplayPort Alt Mode)

 3 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports

 1 USB 2.0 port

 1 x 2.5GbE Ethernet port

 1 x 3.5mm audio jack

The computers are also equipped with an AMD RZ608 wireless module that supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
