People in the existing supply chain broke the news in Bobantang that Nvidia has decided to completely stop production of the four product lines RTX 2060 Super, RTX 2060, GTX 1660 Super, and GTX 1660. At present, the inventory of each manufacturer has been digested. So far, only GTX1650 and 1630 are still on sale, and the market vacated by mid-range card types will turn to the RTX30 series in the future.

Nvidia officially released the RTX 2060 dessert graphics card in January 2019. Compared with the GTX 1060 GP106 core in the Pascal era, the TU106 core area of the RTX 2060 has more than doubled, and the number of transistors has also increased from 4.4 billion to 10.8 billion, which is only about 10% lower than the performance of the RTX 2070, but only There are $299.

In March of the same year, Nvidia launched the GeForce GTX 1660, starting at 1799 CNY in the Bank of China. It is equipped with 6GB of GDDR5 video memory, has 1408 CUDA cores, and the highest turbo frequency is close to 1.8 GHz. Overclocking can achieve stronger performance.

Later, Nvidia released the RTX 2060 Super on July 9, 2019. Compared with the previous RTX 2060, the game performance has been improved by about 15%. The initial price of the Bank of China is 3199 CNY($399).

Finally, Nvidia officially released the new mainstream graphics card GeForce GTX 1660 Super in October 2019. As an upgraded version of the original GTX 1660, it is mainly aimed at gamers with 1080p / 2K resolution. The performance is 20% higher than that of GTX 1660. The reference price is 1799 CNY.

For those who bought high-end cards in the past, how are they doing now that the prices of the RTX 30 series high-end graphics cards continue to dip. videoCardz reports that as the cryptocurrency mining boom subsides and the RTX 40 series approaches, the RTX 30 series high-end selling prices are bottoming out.

The RTX 3090 Ti, for example, was once quoted at over $3,000 (20,000+ RMB) during the mining boom, but the latest offer from overseas in September has dropped to $1,099 (about 7,620 RMB), with a large number of stock options available, and the price has been cut after comparing the two.

Meanwhile, the RTX 3080 Ti, which is comparable to the RTX 3090 in terms of gaming performance, has slipped to $739 (about 5124 RMB) in retail price.

Not to mention the non-Ti version of the RTX 3090 graphics card, whose price has long fallen below four figures, reaching $959 (about 6,650 RMB).

Obviously, such a substantial price increase is mainly affected by two factors, in addition to the competition from AMD Radeon RX 6000 series, the crazy dumping of used mining cards, but also caused a huge impact on the market.

There are signs that NVIDIA’s motherboard partners urgently need to clear their inventory of high-end GeForce RTX 30 series “Ampere” graphics cards in order to make way for the upcoming new cards. At $1149, it’s almost a cut from the list price ($2149). That’s nearly $1,500 less than the card retailed for before the Q2 2022 “mining crash”.

This may be a limited-time discount though. The company’s other RTX 3090 Ti cards are currently priced a little higher, with the faster FTW3 Ultra cards selling for $1,199 and the FTW3 Black for $1,399. Prices for high-end graphics cards have been dropping vertically over the past few months, with the Radeon RX 6900 XT often under $1,000; the RX 6950 XT is priced around $1,000.
