Logitech yesterday launched the $349.99 G Cloud Gaming Handheld, which will be available in the U.S. on October 17 ($50 off for limited pre-orders). Today, Cameron Faulkner, editor of foreign technology media The Verge, spent 10 minutes in the demo area to get his hands on the G Cloud Gaming Handheld, and he thinks Logitech’s Cloud Gaming Handheld is great, but adding $350 to the deal is questionable.

In 10 minutes, Faulkner took some photos and started some programs. He said he’ll do a full review in the coming weeks. The Xbox Cloud Gaming app on a Logitech handheld was running a demo of Deathloop over a Wi-Fi network when Faulkner arrived at the experience.

In the live experience, there was a bit of input lag on the Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld, which was visible to the naked eye. However, this may have been affected by the Wi-Fi network on-site in the experience area, and it’s unclear if it would perform better in a stable home network environment. On the bright side, the G Cloud’s button, trigger, and analog joystick layout felt good.

Faulkner then switched to the Fortnite game via the NVIDIA GeForce Now app. Exiting Xbox Game Pass and launching a new app was satisfyingly fast. My initial impression is that if you’re using the speed of the Nintendo Switch as a comparison, you’ll be happy with this Logitech handheld. Fortnite seems to run better and more smoothly on the G Cloud Gaming Handheld than on the Switch.
